Previously had thule wingbars but am bulking at 200 to replace them. In the preparation of this thule freeride 532 review i looked at other thule roof mounted bike racks and the high end thule upride 599 review ed here was the heaviest. If you have a flat roof vehicle like a station wagon or suv the thule aero system would probably work very well for you. The brackets that fasten my roof bar to the car body sometimes got in the way of where i would like to attach the freeride.

I ordered 2 areo bars the foot kit and locks. The aluminum bars perfectly complement your roofline and have built in t tracks for mounting accessories. Once the rubber strips are installed these are whisper quiet compared to most bars. Nice width that works seamlessly with the thule 450r feet to transition from an 03 jetta wagon to an 11 rav4.

The decision isn t made any easier by the fact that there aren t only different brands but different shapes. These bars have been on for over 6 months now and i still love them. The thule aeroblades are a great design and look great on the top of my subaru legacy. Aeroblade is rated to hold more weight but you still need to consider the manufacturer limits for weight. They look great too. Fits all thule roof mount gear that i ve thrown at it so far and can accept some yakima roof boxes.
